Vaisala IceCast System

The Vaisala IceCast System is a modular range of software which helps road, rail and runway operators to minimize the effects of bad weather. It gives information that is essential in making good maintenance management decisions. IceCast integrates data from Vaisala ROSA Weather Stations, forecasts from the local forecast provider, forecasts generated by Vaisala forecast generation software, Thermal Mapping data and optimized salting routes into a single system. IceCast provides highly configurable modules for:

Data collection and storage
Data display (real-time and forecast)
Data archiving
Short-term and long-term forecast generation for road/runway or cable temperature and state
Alarm generation and SMS messaging
Data recording

All the IceCast products and services can be provided as stand-alone modules or as part of a larger, integrated system. IceCast can be implemented as a small start-up system or as a country-wide bureau service. The user interface can be configured in the local language, time zone and display units. The system is designed according to Open System principles, allowing multi-system integration. Pre-installation technical services, training and a wide variety of customer services are also available.

	IceView The IceView software product displays the data collected from the ROSAs in a user-friendly, WindowsTM-compatible environment. Graphs, maps and tabular displays of current, historic and forecast data can be viewed.

	IceAlarm, IcePager, IceLog IceCast offers a lartge variety of different software modules of which IceAlarm / IcePager are for hazard road condition alarming and IceLog is a data recording module in combination with forecats data.

	IceWeb IceWeb creates HTML pages from standard, pre-defined IceCast Viewer displays. These pages make the road and runway information that is usually accessed through IceView available for Internet and Intranet ...
